Squacquerone di Romagna is a classic cheese that dates back centuries.
The cheese is made with cow’s milk situated in the Romagna Apennines where they are fed with forage from the Pianura Padana (Po Valley) – this has been traditionally done so for many years.
Today, Squacquerone di Romagna is still an incredibly exclusive cheese due to its short aging period of less than 4 days and must be consumed fresh within a few days of production.
This cheese is home only to the provinces of Ravenna, Forli-Cesena, Rimini, Bologna and part of Ferrara.
Tasting Notes
A spreadable cheese par excellence thanks to its creamy, unctuous, and somewhat flowing texture.
Squacquerone di Romagna is both sweet and sour and offers a slight saltiness that gives way to a fresh herbaceous flavor on the finish.
Packaging
On the packaging, the name of the cheese must be indicated in Sari Extra Bold italic font, and exclusively in blue and white.
How to Enjoy (PAIRING)

This cheese can be used on cheese & meat board for party and is also an excellent pairing with honey, fruit preserves, and/or caramelised figs.
